PlasGard Glazing Bars

PlasGard is a simple two part glazing bar with continuous screw on cap. Approved by all the major polycarbonate sheeting manufacturers for use with multi-wall and solid plastics, PlasGard is also suitable for single glazing with glass from 6mm to 25mm. Ideal for unheated spaces such as canopies, verandahs, car ports, shelters or rail platforms. Easy to install, PlasGard offers excellent value and a wider than normal glazing rebate for exposed locations or areas where bomb-blast mitigation is required.

PlasGard maximum recommend spans between top and bottom fixings based on 600mm glazing bar centres for glass or 7000mm centres for polycarbonate.

Please note the above table is for guidance only, for although the glazing bars can be used in compliance with the requirements of BS5516 PlasGard maximum recommend spans may not always comply. PLM 15 & 17 = Glazing Bar c/c – 20mm
PLM 20 = Glazing Bar c/c – 14mm
